AnyDesk update - March 18th

As promised in our previous communication, we are pleased to provide you with the anticipated update regarding AnyDesk!

The good news
AnyDesk has provided us with the updated certificates and a new custom client for both Windows and Mac agents, and we're about to roll these out to your devices.
However, since we're still awaiting the Linux agent update, connecting to Linux devices will remain blocked to ensure your security.

What can I do?

  1. Download and install the updated AnyDesk custom client on all of your technician devices. This is necessary as we’re unable to deploy the updated certificates and new clients for technicians.

2. Although we're deploying the updated custom client agent to all managed Windows and Mac devices that have the Atera Agent installed, there's a chance some devices may not receive it due to various reasons, such as being offline. To ensure full coverage, we recommend downloading and installing the AnyDesk clients for any end-user devices that missed the automatic deployment.

Moving forward
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work towards a safer, more secure remote access experience with AnyDesk.

Should you have any queries or require assistance, our dedicated support team is here to assist you.

Thank you!

A month later and I still have this question. Is Atera any closer to getting an Anydesk for Linux completed? We don't have many Linux targets, and thankfully those we do have we have created alternative means of remote console access. But it sure would be nice if we can use the solution we're paying for for this need.

    Hi everyone (and @bahlquist specifically)!

Our team has started upgrading agents to the new version yesterday. Once we let it run for a week, we will enable AnyDesk support for Linux.

Thanks for your patience here 🙏
