🛠️ Don’t miss out on Ateraverse ’25: Two expert-led workshops
Happening tomorrow, Ateraverse 2025 brings you a pair of hands-on, expert-led workshops designed to help you get more out of Atera—from smarter ticketing to next-level patch management.
Both sessions run in parallel across the EMEA and the Americas, led by Atera specialists and tailored to your region.
—
🧩 Workshop 1: Patching perfection with Atera
🧑🏫 Led by Dima Lukyanenko, Solutions Engineer at Atera
Ready to move beyond “set it and forget it” patching?
Dima’s session delivers practical strategies to help you fine-tune patching policies, clean up automation conflicts, and improve success rates—all backed by real-world configuration examples.
What you'll explore:
- How to set up a clean baseline of patching profiles: critical OS updates, non-critical updates, software patches, and maintenance.
- When profiles should be separated for scripting tasks and software installation.
- Tips for avoiding profile conflicts: overlapping schedules, inconsistent reboot policies, and exclusions.
- Strategies for patch success:
- Queue patches to accommodate offline devices.
- Use dual-time deployment schedules (e.g., 10 AM + 12 PM).
- Notify users about reboots with custom messages and buffers.
- How to structure patch automation assignments across customers, folders, and devices.
- Using a test environment and device hygiene routines to prevent disruption and improve reporting accuracy.
—
🎫 Workshop 2: Ticketing that works–Engage non-IT teams & unlock AI insights
🧑🏫 Led by Bill Frankel, Onboarding Manager at Atera and Lee Kaplan, Customer Success Manager at Atera
Bill and Lee’s workshop is all about smarter ticketing—whether you’re supporting internal IT or rolling out to HR, Finance, or Ops.
What you'll explore:
- How Atera’s AI Copilot automatically populates ticket custom fields (like Issue Category) from user-submitted content.
- Building reports based on those AI-powered field values for better SLA tracking and team planning.
- Using “Generate Article” to convert real tickets into structured KB content for internal and external audiences.
- Turning articles into Quick Reply templates for fast, consistent responses.
- Structuring automation rules and workflows to support non-IT teams and departments.
- Real examples of how support teams are applying ticketing beyond IT—and getting value fast.
—
🎙️ Whether you’re looking to elevate your patching precision or unlock new value from your ticketing workflows, these workshops are built for action, not theory.
See you tomorrow at Ateraverse!

can we please get a recording of these sessions?

On the whole Ateraverse was a good event - well done for trying to make it work in multiple time zones, unfortunately some of the automations just cut two of the webinars off mid flow and not enough time was allocated to the main AMA at all. Also something needs to be done about retaining the chat history - as soon as you are booted out of a session - all the Q&A answers are gone - very frustrating.

Thanks both - recording will be uploaded to the website, but moreso, I will be recapping and sharing take-aways here in the community and open discussions for further questions.
@nathanlock thanks for the feedback, will be shared in our retro + I'll ask for a full transcript of the questions.

I just got your email that sounds like it "We’ve wrapped up Ateraverse in our latest community post, and there's still so much more to come! " but when I click that link it just goes in to the atera app and I can't find a summary post if there is one, unless you just meant the recap on autopilot.

It's all new, so I need to verify with a lot of excited people!0 -
ok, as this recap is taking a while to come out, I did manage to capture a snippit of the EU AMA Q&A which had some useful answers to some of the questions - mainly only AI questions were answered though.

Is Autopilot still going to be useful in scenario where we want full control? We're an MSP and while we would welcome an AI being able to sort things out for people, we would want to "press the button" and not rely on AI do just answer the user's question/problem. Like other RMM solutions, Atera could be a target for ransomware groups. What are you doing to ensure security?Answered by Atera Crew
Security is a top priority in IT Autopilot. We implement the following measures to protect against vulnerabilities: Autonomous decision-making controls: IT Autopilot operates within predefined guardrails, preventing unauthorized or harmful actions. Data privacy and security: IT Autopilot adheres to strict data protection policies, ensuring that user data is handled securely and in compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR. Vulnerability protection & attack prevention: We employ encryption, access controls, and continuous monitoring to detect and mitigate threats such as adversarial attacks, injection attacks, and unauthorized access. Logging and monitoring: IT Autopilot continuously logs its actions and decisions, providing visibility into its operations and ensuring quick response to anomaliesGeorge Edelstein

How much training or setup does the Autopilot need before it can handle company-specific incidents autonomously? Is the learning process completely passive, or can we ‘teach’ Autopilot manually if we want to speed up the process or teach it specific things?Answered by Atera Crew
IT Autopilot can be fully deployed in a matter of days, with streamlined onboarding, setup assistance, and out-of-the-box integrations. Everything being handled hand to hand with our onboarding team
