Atera API - DeviceGUID

I've been playing around with the Atera API and was wondering if the Device GUID was an internal identifier from Atera, or if it comes from the system. I can see that it is used from the individual pages for each agent, which leads me to believe that it is generated within Atera itself. However, with the AgentID being used for the actual API endpoint, I want to make sure I have a solid understanding of each value before putting anything into production.
