Splashtop remote control awful quality

I have a new HP, I have splashtop on it and was using it to control other machines no problem then all of a sudden the quality has degraded to the point where I am unable to read the screen properly. I have uninstalled and re-installed but to no avail. I have deleted registry keys, program directories and nothing is making any difference. I have had this before on a different computer but this was fixed by uninstall / reinstall. Is this under the remit of Atera support as I am having to use a third party system for remote control right now until this can be resolved? Example below, Splashtop for RMM 3.5.802.0.

    Well OK, I spent ages on this the other day, just went back into the streamer settings, turned compatibility mode back off and turned on hardware acceleration and suddenly it's fine. So no idea what caused this but seems OK now.
