Anyone else getting this? We have a Patch Management and IT Automation policy deploying teams, the policy and software bundle hasnt changed in months, yet just a few hours ago I seen zoom on my desktop, sure enough its chocolatey and its getting deployed on everything, even servers. I am also seeing gotomeeting on some devices.

Ending a Windows Installer transaction: C:\Windows\TEMP\chocolatey\zoom\5.14.5.15287\ZoomInstallerFull.msi. Client Process Id: 18984.

I have logged a ticket with Atera but now for the long wait and cleanup.

    Beau,

You can go to your device page, manage, then software inventory; then you can remove Zoom from there. Goto Meeting, you should be able to script the uninstall. You can script the uninstall of Zoom as well.

I since disable software deployment and updates. Atera kept asking me to do things to test and I ended up giving up as I didnt have the time. The ticket was then auto resolved.

    Hi @beau.murray -

TL;DR This is expected behavior if you are using "Software Upgrade" within the IT Automation Profile. The best way to prevent the "Software Upgrade" after uninstalling a software, would be to do a cleanup here: C:\ProgramData\chocolatey\lib and exclude the software you don't want to install from the option.

    Hope this helps,

    Nina

Hi Nina, the issue is I never deployed half the software that is now installed on my systems. Also it doesnt make sense why choclatey would redeploy existing software that i no longer want to use. If this is expected, have that stated in your documentation.

PS We only used Atera to deploy Teams, Chrome and Adobe, why would I then get go to go to meeting or zoom deployed? Sure I may have had Zoom manually installed at one point but i dont want it redeployed again when its a peice of software I never manged through Atera.
