    I don't personally used linked in, I find facebook and instagram enough platforms to be on. My perspective of linked in is it is used by people to publicise their CV's/work history and that's about it.

    Yeah, in the U.S. - we do not use LinkedIn for "marketing" reasons or to interact with vendors. It's bit misguided to ask this user-base to participate there. Just my seven dollars of advice.
