Atera Scripting

I am trying to run a simple two line bat file. Atera support tells me that it can't be run becuase the logged in user is not an Admin user on the device. Is this true? Atera scripting only works when the user is an admin account?

Example bat file:

@echo off

"C:\Program Files\PROGRAM\uninstall.exe" /S

    Can you give me an example of how you are attempting to run the above command? Are you logging into the user session of a device? Are you using the remote terminal (powershell, command prompt) in the Atera interface? Are you attempting to run a stored/saved script through the Atera interface?

    I am attempting to run a stored/saved script through the Atera interface. If I use the remote terminal (command prompt as system) in the Atera interface and execute the "C:…" line of the script it runs without issue.

    In the script creation/editor you can select if its the "system" or "current user". For all of our current stored scripts, we have them run as "System." Do you see this option in your script editor?

    The stored script I am using is configured to run as "System".

    I believe by default the scripts, if run as "System", will run in the background. You may want to test that - by removing the echo command - and see if it any script will show its active usage on the end-users session. The install and uninstall of any software would require that the software supports silent install/uninstall. I would also see if you could run your task using powershell.

    I don't have any like for like tasks to test against on my side.
