Hi all! Here are some tips and tricks for using this community platform:

  • Use the reaction buttons in the discussions. These let you share how you feel about others' comments. The most liked content shows up on the Best Of page.
  • Mention others. Put an @ symbol before the username to mention someone. They’ll get notified when you do!
  • Update your notification preferences. You’ll receive a notification if someone mentions you or posts to a discussion that you’ve bookmarked. You can set notifications by going to Account & Privacy > Notification Preferences > Select which notifications you would like to see either via pop-up or by email.
  • Send messages. You can private message members by going to your inbox, or by visiting their profile page (click their username anywhere).
  • Check out the forum from your mobile phone. Just go to the forum URL in your browser — no need to download an app. For quicker access, you can add the community URL to your Home Screen.
  • Add the community to your Home Screen. iPhone users: Go to the community URL > Select share icon > Select "Add to Home Screen" > Choose a name > Select Add (If you don’t see Add to Home Screen option, you can add it. Scroll down to the bottom of the list > Edit Actions > Add to Home Screen) Android users: Open Chrome > Go to the community URL > Select the menu icon (3 dots in the upper right-hand corner) and select Add to Home Screen > Choose a name for the website shortcut > Done!
  • Want to embed a YouTube video or a Tweet? No problem, just paste in the link. Vanilla will handle the embedding for you!
