Atera Agent Version History page update

This is one of those internal initiatives that has been proposed for quite some time, and we wanted to give it enough time to become actually useful before sharing it more broadly.

Thanks to @nathanlock for bringing this up again on Reddit as one of my responses contained the link below. I’m posting it here as well so everyone has easy access to it.

We have a dedicated Atera Agent Version History page:

We refactored the previous approach and started documenting Agent changes more thoroughly from version 2.5.10, and we are now documenting every new Atera Agent version as it is released.

When an Agent gets updated and something changes, this page should help answer at least some of the immediate questions around what was fixed, changed, or introduced in that version.

There is also a second reason behind this work. The changelog is part of the foundation for Agent versioning, an upcoming capability we are currently working on. I’ll leave that for a separate discussion once we get closer to release and have more to share.

So in this case, we are essentially solving two things at once: creating a useful troubleshooting and reference point today, while also preparing the groundwork for what comes next.

As always, the goal is more transparency around what is changing in the product.

And kudos to our community members for continuing to raise things like this and helping us shape and deliver more useful content as we go. My DM is always open and if I can internally influence good initiatives, I definitely will.
